My Pilates & Nutrition Training

I began my Mat Pilates Instructor Course with Future Fit Training in 2020. This course has enabled me to delve deeper into the the anatomy and physiology aspect of pilates, with a deeper understanding of how and why the body moves, in addition to how to adapt each exercise to different bodies.

Whilst training with Future Fit School of Pilates I developed a passion for nutrition. I felt intrigued at how controlling nutrition combined with pilates, can create the optimum conditions for the body.

Within my Nutrition and Weight Management Qualification I learn't the science of a balanced diet.

I observed how social media is flooded with weight loss pills, coffees and fad diets (to name a few). I can't say for certain whether they work or not, but what I can say is that a balanced, well-rounded diet and remaining within your body's needs is the science behind weight management.

Hi, I'm Alex!

I'm a Pilates Instructor, Professional Dancer and Health, Nutrition & Weight Management Advisor. I trained at Creative Academy, which is a vocational academy based in West London. I received a 1st class BA Honours before joining a Professional Development Programme at a Graduate Company, JV2 (Jasmin Vardimon Company).

It is here that my love of Pilates was born. Within the company we would begin our morning (3 times a week) with a pilates class. I quickly found a HUGE improvement in my stamina, as my overall technique, posture and strength was dramatically improved. My sleep improved, back and neck pain was reduced and I'd even go as far to say my memory and productivity improved. I love how inclusive Pilates is. Any age, ability and fitness level can thrive within every class.

All of this change, due to one pilates class 3 mornings a week I couldn't believe it! How a practice could have such a positive impact on me not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.
